Confirmed XI Lloris (C), Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Wanyama, Sissoko, Eriksen, Dele, Lucas, Son

On the face of it, not a bad XI under the circumstances.

Jan Vertonghen is no wallflower and I don’t expect him to bore us with the same ‘ooh, my injury’ nonsense that we’ve had inflicted upon us by Dele Alli.

Speaking of growing a pair, Christian Eriksen and Dele need to act like men, opposed to mice this evening.

The Wanyama/Dier axis has never worked, but this is a moot point, we realised after the last window that Dembele wasn’t going to be replaced anytime soon.

Lucas MUST offer more than huff and puff.

Erik Lamela is the super sub? No, me neither.

Oh yes, and don’t forget that Jim White wants a bloody good metaphorical kicking for his mischievous ‘Sky Sources suggest that Harry Kane could feature’ guano.

Here’s their side.

There’s danger here Hakim Ziyech has scored or assisted a goal in four of Ajax’s five Champions League knockout games this season (2 goals, 2 assists).

He set up Donny van de Beek for Ajax’s goal in the first leg against Tottenham.

May your gods go with you.

Back this manager Levy you knucklehead

    • paul says:

You know what if we somehow manage to win the CL and Poch leaves along with half the players it would almost be worth it to achieve the one thing ARSE could never do!

  2. paul says:

Could this result and Poch’s proper show of emotion at the end prove to be some sort of catalyst? We’ve only gone and matched pooh’s result from last night and we did it away – a lot to draw on and it’s just one match (hopium pipe now firmly being toked)

You are right Paul. This team was broken and this result has totally rebuilt the morale and momentum. They will get a massive turnout for the Everton match now and who knows perhaps it will convince the likes of Toby to think again. I am not sure about Eriksen as I think he has already made the decision to leave and his after match comments were not those of someone who to me feels committed to the club. The question is if the impossible happens and we beat Liverpool will Pooch think that is then the perfect time to leave. He could walk into any job then anywhere and I think he may well choose to wave goodbye to Levy and ENIC.

I watched Tintin’s post match in disbelief, the guy must have xanax for blood! Demeanour of someone who’d just qualified against non-league oppo for fifth round of FA cup – weird AF!

      • paul says:

But i think you could be right about re-building morale and momentum, they’re in the CL final ffs, they might actually finally get to bust their collective nut after four years of dry humping

  3. East Stand says:

Proof that Lorente’s best role is as a late sub!

  4. James McKevitt says:

    Poch in tears.

  5. Sid Trotter says:

For all of Rose’s detractors, he has put in one hell of a shift tonight

  6. Cabspur says:

    My nappy needs changing.

  7. paul says:

    Oh ok then i’ll bite!

  8. We only need to score two

  9. Cabspur says:

Winning on corners but still haven’t beat the first man ,,why is he still taking them.!!!!

  10. East Stand says:

Trippier and Wanyama are just not good enough for the level we unbelievably find ourselves at. Along with Aurier, Llorente all bargain bucket signings and Moura is not a top 4 player for me. Get your chequebook out Baldy and back the fucking manager or sell. Twat…

    • paul says:

Tripps, Viktor, Oreo, Davies, Llorente, Tin tin, Lamela (sniff sniff), none of them good enough and then we have Erikson who should be taken out and shot

      • East Stand says:

True, where this idea that Lamela or Eriksen are good enough comes from baffles me. Eriksen is a lightweight, Lamela in an injury prone waste of space. It’s not our fault that Baldini spunked almost 60m on them…

        • paul says:

I’ve finally given up the ghost on coco but at least he’s never been found wanting in application, desire and energy – tin tin on the other hand is a fucking nonce

  11. Sid Trotter says:

Llorente. Just when you need that confidence boost

  12. Is Gascoigne gonna have a crac says:

    Parp parp
    Llorente reversing Parp parp

  13. Lilywhite without the II says:

ENIC will keep selling tickets at the new ground, top 6 will keep them paying off the debt, anything else is a bonus …this is our lot under these utter wankers…this isn’t what life is about!!!…

    • Limerick AL. says:

You cannot blame them, Enic that is, if people are blind to what has happened to THFC and are still willing to shell out Thousands. For What ?

      • Is Gascoigne gonna have a crac says:

Tourists will buy tickets too. Dead atmosphere plastic ground. We are Arsenal.

  14. Eleventstonedidiots says:

Uefa must be wondering how the fuck this lot got to the semis

  15. Is Gascoigne gonna have a crac says:

    Forza Vicenza!

  16. James McKevitt says:

We dwarf Ajax financially, facilities wise. WTF.

  17. paul says:

We bought the wrong Ajax player when we bought Jansenn

  18. Is Gascoigne gonna have a crac says:

ENIC have done us proud. The story’s for the Grandchildren those Wally’s who were chirping earlier will have.

    RIP Spurs
