Spurs XI vs Bayern Munich [Parrott Benched]

By The Boy -

Fix bayonets This will be Tottenham’s first visit to Bayern in any competition since November 1983 in the UEFA Cup last 16; they have lost both of their two away games against them in all competitions by an aggregate 5-1 scoreline.

Odds After the previous mauling in London, our hosts are @1/3 on for the win, the draw is @9/2 and Spurs look a tad destitute out @7/1 for an away win.

Hope über alles Spurs are looking to win consecutive away UEFA Champions League matches for the very first time, having won 4-0 at Crvena Zvezda on MD4.

3rd time of asking New Spurs manager Jose Mourinho has lost both of his previous away games against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, losing in the quarter-finals with Chelsea in 2004-05 and the semi-finals with Real Madrid in 2011-12 – against them he won the final in 2009-10 with Inter Milan.

I’m surprised that the Bayern team is so strong for what is a dead rubber match. This is a good chance for Lo Celso to show what he is about and possibly overshadow Eriksen. How true are the rumours he wants out in January?I’m looking forward to seeing Parrott come on.

Interesting lineup. I really do not like Sissoko at DM – he played a key part in 5 of their goals in the last match and they could have had another 5 on mistakes he made. I guess we just don’t have many other options there. Danny is going to draw Gnabry, this may be his last chance to show Jose if he has anything left in the tank.

Managers seeping in young players. Troy is good enough, strong enough, confident enough to handle it. Just chuck him in and done man. Cha!
