Spurs’ XI vs Palace

By The Boy -

Spurs host Crystal Palace in match-day 27 of the Premier League on Sunday 7th March, 7:15pm at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The hosts currently sit in 8th place in the table having beaten Fulham 0-1 last time out, while the visitors are in 13th after their 0-0 draw against Manchester United.

PALACE Wilfried Zaha is back after a month out as is the Eagles Jeffrey Schlupp who returned from injury in their last game and scored in the previous head-to-head between these two sides.

NO WINS YET Despite five clashes between the two coaches, Roy Hodgson is yet to get the better of the ‘special one’ José Mourinho (D3, L2).

IMPROVING Whilst Crystal Palace’s league position looks unremarkable, enough they’ve actually picked up more points (34) at this stage of the season than in any of their previous seven PL campaigns (W9, D7, L11).

WHAT ARE THE ODDS? Spurs have won 55% of their last 20 home league games and C Palace has lost 55% of their last 20 away league games.

Lloris (C), Doherty, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Reguilon, Højbjerg, Winks, Lucas, Bale, Son, Kane.

Rotation for some is because of so many games played and schedule ahead, Bale starts again, so at least we’ll score.

I get the phycologyof Bale starting, just need to get the win in the first 45 so we can give a little rest to Son and Kane

Even a Spurs team with Winks and Doherty should be good enough to beat Palace at home.

Winks and Docherty FFS? I thought Aurier was fit again but not even on the bench. No Ndombele to start? I guess the hope is that the four up front do the business in the first half.
