Spurs willing to throw an unbelievable amount of money on their managerial target

Tottenham has refused to give up on making Brendan Rodgers their latest manager even though the former Liverpool boss says he is happy at Leicester City.

After sacking Jose Mourinho, Daniel Levy is determined to make Rodgers his team’s next boss after watching him become arguably the best British born manager in the last decade.

Rodgers has a fine record in the Premier League where he has managed Swansea, Liverpool and Leicester.

Spurs went all out to make Jose Mourinho their manager because they wanted to start winning trophies.

However, the Special One failed to achieve that and they have sacked him and named Ryan Mason as their interim boss until the end of the season.

They wanted to make Julian Nagelsmann their next boss, but he is joining Bayern Munich.

They can hire the experienced likes of Rafa Benitez and Max Allegri as their next manager, but Football Insider says they remain keen on Rodgers.

The report says they are so keen to sign him that they are willing to triple his current salary.

Spurs will offer him £15m per year to make the switch and it is an offer they hope would tempt the northern Irish man.

But they will have to pay a significant fee in compensation because Rodgers is tied to Leicester until 2025.
