Spurs take uncharacteristic step to confirm Tanguy Ndombele position

As we told you in prompt fashion yesterday, talk of Tanguy to Inter was complete fiction. No talks, no negotiations, no nothing, just a couple of journalists for The Guardian who might care to ponder upon the wisdom of running their misguided piece in the first place.

As per Alasdair Gold’s Tweet above, the club’s press office has taken the unusual step of denying the tale to multiple journalists. Clearly there was a situation surrounding the Frenchman, and it was deemed the best course of action for all concerned to stamp the rumours out.

Tanguy staying and hopefully working hard to become a first team regular at Spurs is obviously great news, but the coming season cannot be a repeat of the last one. Hiring a player on £200,000 a week is one thing, but becoming a laughingstock is quite another.
