Spurs to miss out on Serie A target as he nears France loan move

Tottenham is set to miss out on the signing of Arkadiusz Milik as the Poland striker nears a move to Marseille.

Milik has been arguably one of the most in-demand strikers in Europe since last summer’s transfer window.

He failed to secure a move away from Napoli in that window, and he was frozen out of their squad for the season.

He played no football in the first half of the campaign, and this month is another opportunity for him to leave the club.

With Spurs not looking to land him this month, Sky Sport Italia says that he is set to make a loan move to Marseille.

The report says that the former Ajax man is travelling to France today to complete his medical and join the French side for the rest of this season.

Marseille has been one of the contenders for his signature, but Napoli had been reluctant to allow him to leave unless it was a permanent transfer with a fee.

It remains unclear how the Frenchmen have secured a loan deal considering that he has just under six months left on his current deal with the Naples side.

Spurs will now have to look at their other striker targets that now include Danny Ings.
