Tottenham Hotspur defender Destiny Udogie has received some serious praise from across Europe following his incredible start at Spurs.
Udogie was signed by Spurs from Udinese for £15 million last year and spent another season on loan in Italy before moving to North London this summer.
He moved to North London this summer, and he has been absolutely brilliant ever since.
He has arguably been the best left-back in the league, which itself is indicative of how good he is considering his young age and this being his debut season in the Premier League.
Spanish outlet AS has heaped praise at him in a recent article praising Udogie and his impact on Spurs, describing him as “the great revelation of Europe” who now “owns the Tottenham Stadium.”
They highlighted his strong defensive skills, bravery, vertical attacking style, speed, and vision, all of which have dazzled Europe.
“Udogie is very good at defense and brave and vertical in attack. Strong for his great physique in defensive work, in addition, fast and with a wide stride, which adds to his vision of the game and his ability to unbalance.
“A vein that has fallen to its feet in Tottenham and has dazzled all of Europe.”
Udogie has just been one of several excellent signings Spurs have made recently.
The likes of Micky van de Ven, James Maddison, and Guglielmo Vicario have all come in the summer and made an instant impact at the club.
There is no doubt that Udogie has been the star among them and he has been the perfect parting away gift from Fabio Paratici.
But the way he is attracting interest from Europe, it won’t be long before top European clubs make a move for him which is when Levy will have to put his foot down and reject any advances.
