Spurs Stalwart May Have Injury Very Similar To Ledley King’s

A source at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club tells me that it is feared that Victor Wanyama may have a somewhat limited playing future ahead of him.

The precise nature of the problem is a private medical issue and until such time the player wishes to make an announcement, the details are naturally a tad vague.

My understanding is that this relates – not exclusively to a knee injury that sidelined the Kenyan for some four weeks from the 17th July of 2017.

Almost a year on, the 27 year old succumbed to an identical knee issue and was again forced out but this time for some 5 weeks from the 23rd of July 2018.

Going back into the archive from hell, it was the dubious honour of this blog to break the severe nature of Ledley King’s injury.

At that time I recall one bright spark informing me that I was spreading vile lies – and we saw how that one turned out, eh?

The injury to Wanyama is believed to be of a very similar nature.

This is far from desirable news; however if we have learned anything from Daniel Levy’s tenure at Tottenham, it is that he is unafraid to watch his war horses walk on until they collapse into the mud and empty shell casings.
