Spurs slap add-ons that raise the option to buy price on Celtic for Cameron Carter-Vickers

Cameron Carter-Vickers seems to have found a home with Scottish giants Celtic FC. This summer, the 23-year-old went on loan as the defender doesn’t have a place at Tottenham long-term, considering his other loan stints.

Celtic initially made a deal with the option to buy being £6-million; nonetheless, as Daily Record reports, Tottenham has slapped the add-ons to raise the price to £10-million, which could be a steep price to keep the defender.

Perhaps the only way the Scottish club could spend that type of cash could be to qualify for the UEFA Champions League. However, they’re currently in second place, four points behind Rangers.

Carter-Vickers has expressed his desire to remain in Glasgow after his loan expires, but the fee could prevent that from happening. It will be interesting to see whether Spurs lowers its demand for the defender or he’ll return to north London with his future up in the air.
