Tottenham is set to boost their earnings by finally getting a training ground kit sponsor, Football London reports.
Spurs have struggled financially in the last year due to the covid-19 pandemic that has forced fans to watch football from home and for events that would have been held at their new stadium to be cancelled.
They borrowed £175m from the Bank of England to help cushion the effect of the coronavirus pandemic and have since repaid that with another £250m raised through an arrangement with the Bank of America.
The new loan can be used for running the club including signing players, but they are still looking for ways to bolster their finances.
Training ground kit sponsors have become popular among Premier League clubs recently and Tottenham didn’t have one until now.
But the report says that could change before the start of next season as they are now in talks with a prospective sponsor to ensure that they can join the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea in making money from having a brand name on their training kits.
The report didn’t say how much the deal would be worth, but it could go a long way in adding more money to their coffers.

Great post mate. I have girls who don’t like footy but my dad who took me when I was 4 doesn’t want to go anymore so made my decision to cut the ENIC funds much easier.
I get all what you say….I’ve done the going with sons and you’re absolutey right on that bit.I like you have watched dross over the years, and great nights/teams too. I just feel now the owners have reached the end of their tenure and should pass the baton onto a new custodian who will genuinely invest on the pitch and not a property portfolio.
Bigup yourself Stewart Smith.
Supporter since Jimmy Greaves was my 1st idol so perhaps marginally slightly longer than you & have been a ST holder for 20+ years & have renewed WITHOUT a second thought nor regret.
I hear the reasons why you & others didn’t & some who say they won’t go again whilst ENIC are in control but for me, it is MY club & I refuse to allow anyone to stop me doing what I love.
The ‘wasting money’ & ‘putting money in ENIC’s pocket’ etc I also hear, but as I said, it’s simply a passion watching THFC play & to FULLY make a stand of not funding ENIC, people would need to boycott Sky Sport, BT Sport, all TV, (even streaming – oooh heaven forbid anyone does illegal stuff like that) as that raises approximately as much revenue each year as ticket sales.
Then you also have boycotting all THFC social media as commercial deals, advertising, sponsorship, marketing, etc also puts untold cash in the pot. Has anyone thought about all that? Will anyone take it, not funding ENIC, to that limit?
The main reason I renewed is because as a father, (some may have experienced this, others may have it yet to come), going to WHL or as is now the TH stadium with my son is to me, one of life’s ultimate pleasures, that shared passion, the bond, the whole match day experience, it’s beyond special & nobody is ever taking that away from me nor making me give it up, not for any reason.
I’m TTID!!
Agree whole heartedly. 40 years support, 20 years season ticket holder. Attended maybe 20 home games and a few choice away games since we left the Lane. Put up with the wembley experience as I bought the new lane schtick despite the warning signs – a comfortable lie beats an inconvenient truth I guess. Lucky to have split the seat with a pal for the last 4 years and he gets to go to most games as my love for the club has slowly ebbed away – and it’s one (little bald parasite) man’s fault. To my shame, I have renewed, (my pal remains keen to go) and have regretted doing so for the past month.
I may attend a few away games if we show some promise next season although i suspect my options will be limited as I won’t be testing, masking or taking part in experimental medical trials anytime.
Just out of interest how many of the usual suspects on here are season ticket holders/members? and will you be attending games this season?
I have supported this club for nearly 50 years and was a member for over 25 years but haven’t renewed for the first time as I have decided to not attend this season.
My decision has nothing to do with finance or Covig, just fed up with the way the club is run and shows no ambition.
