Spurs on verge of bumper deal with £190k-a-week winger

Football Insider has revealed that Spurs are ready to offer Heung-min Son a new contract.

As per the report Tottenham are ‘prepare to offer him a bumper new deal’ and the player ‘happy to stay’ at the club as well.

Son is said to be loving life at Tottenham under the new manager and is thrilled with the immediate impact the Australian has made.

The report adds that the South Korean is ‘keen to be part’ of the new era under Ange.

It was reported a couple of days ago that Spurs are hoping to secure a new deal with the player and that they are currently in talks with him and his representatives.

As per a previous report from Football Insider, Spurs will ‘first activate the one-year extension clause in his current deal’ before opening talks for a ‘completely fresh long-term deal’.

The new contract will likely include a ‘huge’ pay rise to reflect his new status at the club.

Son has been one of Tottenham’s best players over the years and this season he has been named the captain after Harry Kane’s departure.

He scored a brilliant hat-trick during their 5-2 win over Burnley.

Son signing a new contract will come as a huge boost for the club and their hopes of challenging for major trophies under Ange Postecoglou.

TBH Says:

After a long time there is a feeling of optimism around the club with the club making all the right steps.

A new contract for Son is going to be a massive boost for Tottenham with the South Korean entering his peak age.
