Spurs Old Boy Paul Gascoigne Up On Assault Charge

By The Boy -

Gazza’s decline continues, this time the 52-year-old appears to have been making a nuisance of himself on a train from York to Newcastle.

Interesting to note how two very different newspapers ran the story from two slightly different angles.

The Sun cover what appear to be the bare bones of the tale, with the fallen Tottenham/Lazio/Rangers ace ‘in drink’ and engaging himself in conversation with a woman – with whom Paul then went on to plant an unsolicited and unwelcome kiss on the lips. The Sun piece includes lots of mitigation shared with the Court from supporters such as Ricky Hatton, with the claim being that ‘Gazza kisses everyone’.

The Guardian provides Court reportage that offers far less hope. Gazza drinking from a milk carton which contained a liquid that, “wasn’t the colour of milk.”

Food smears on Gazza’s face, food on the floor, along with empty beer cans all paint a picture of someone you wouldn’t want to be in the same train carriage with you, let alone slathering at your face.

“Gascoigne became abusive to other passengers when they confronted him about what had happened.”

Football fans retain ‘soft spots’ for ex-players, which is fair enough. However, post football Gazza is now beyond help, an unlovable mess.

If you want to help Paul – don’t buy tickets to his live shows, don’t buy any of his signed merchandise.

Oh, and if you ever find yourself in need of a character witness, perhaps decline Ricky Hatton’s offer to help you out.

The trial continues.

Dybala and Isco to replace CE would be GREAT!! I think wing backs are possibly highest on our agenda.

I hope we sign Dybala in Jan. him and Kane could be a good pair. They could even rotate positions.

Why cant we have both? Replace CE, back up for Kane knowing there will be a 3 way rotation? Then Moura and Son used to mix up play using wingers etc… Have 2 wingbacks, and 2 fullbacks to mix between a back 4 and back 5…?

I agree – Kane even created his own goal, tackled the Bulgarian guy and turned and ran onto his own through ball. Sterling is very over rated in my view.

At least I won a bundle on the CL final. It helps knowing a result before the match starts. I’ve mentioned that alot though.🤑

Yes. And Redknapp gets all the blame. Which is ludicrous.
I could write a book on that season. Just 4 hours after Harry was found not guilty….4 HOURS!?!….Cappelo resigned. We all know what happened on the final day. That season was rotten and was the season I realised football was rotten too.

I noticed this in the Czech highlights too. This comes out of Stirling being in the main creative position for England. It was telling Kane created 2 chances for him in that match but Kane got zero service from Sterling. Same in Bulgaria. Sterling just capitalizes on others versatility like at City but doesn’t reciprocate. Kane is having to duck and dive cos he doesn’t get service for England. That’s why they created less chances in open play than Iran in the WC and all their goals are pretty much from set pieces and pens.

Clive Allen did an interesting interview with Football London (I know I know) which would appear to endorse everything Balague says about Levy in his piece. Allen claims Redknapp wanted Gary Cahill & Carlos Tevez for €7m & €25m respectively. There were negotiations but Levy ended up signing Ryan Nelson & Louis Saha on frees. Look how that season ended.
