Spurs Now Linked With A Goalie That Zlatan Ibrahimovic Once Called “m*rde” To His face

By The Boy -

Le10Sport‘s report goes along the lines that both Chelsea and Tottenham are interested in for a back to back Ligue1 winner, Mike Maignan.

Mourinho is said to be an admirer of Guyana born Maignan, who is Lille’s number one goalkeeper. talkSPORT believe the boy to be worth in the region of £16million. Joao Sacramento, is also thought to know Maignan well from his time at Lille.

Maignan has come up through the elite ranks of French football, having spent 6 seasons with Paris St Germain, before joining Lille in the 2015/16 season.

In an interview with France Football in December of last year, the now 25-year-old revealed that playfully or otherwise, footballing genius Zlatan Ibrahimovic called him a very rude name to his face.

Do Spurs need a new keeper? Arguably they do, and IF the reported transfer fee is accurate, then Maignan could be an achievable target.

I’d be inclined to think that Spurs would be wise to get one this done, before someone (be it Chelsea or AN Other) snaps the 25-year-old up.

Can’t see it happening, they’ll stick with Hugo for
another three years in my opinion unless the wheels really come off. Levy is coming up against the limits of net spend. That long line of players that were bought at relatively bargain prices, Dembele, Wanyama, Eriksen, Vertonghen, Toby, Hugo are having to be replaced at vastly increased prices. That’s why they gave Sissoko a new contract and Lamela is still here and Dembele has never been replaced.
