Spurs ‘mapping out a plan’ for 7th summer signing, ‘personally recommended’ by Conte

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Udinese defender Destiny Udogie.

According to Evening Standard, the 19-year-old defender is now closing in on a move to the Premier League club.

The report claims that Spurs will sign him in a deal worth around £21 million but they have decided to loan the player back to the Italian club so that he can continue his development with regular game time.

The player is expected to sign a long-term contract with the English club and complete his medical in Italy. Spurs are ‘mapping out a plan’ to make him their seventh summer signing.

Udogie is highly rated in Italian football and the player was ‘personally recommended’ to Spurs by their manager Antonio Conte himself.

Furthermore, club director Fabio Paratici has extensive knowledge of the Italian league and he is likely to know all about the youngster as well.

It will be interesting to see if the 19-year-old can fulfil his potential at the Premier League club in the coming seasons. He will get to work with a world-class manager like Conte who can help unlock his tremendous potential.

Spurs decided to bring in a talented young right back in Djed Spence earlier on in the summer, and it seems that Conte is planning for the future in regard to the left full-back position as well.
