Spurs keen to start Kane contract talks after his blistering start to the season

Even though it has been just over two years since Harry Kane signed his latest Tottenham contract, The Independent says that Spurs are keen to tie down their main man to a new deal.

The England captain has made a solid start to life this season with 17 goals and 14 assists in all competitions for the club, as they look to end this season with silverware.

His fine form has helped Tottenham to reach the semifinal of the Carabao Cup, and they can still win one of four trophies before the campaign ends.

Teams around Europe have started paying attention to him with Mail Sports claiming that Manchester City has identified him as a replacement for Sergio Aguero and they are prepared to offer around £90million after this season.

Mauricio Pochettino might also try to sign him for PSG, especially if the French giant eventually sell Kylian Mbappe.

Spurs know that they have one of the best players in the world on their hands, and the Lilywhites are keen to ensure that he remains happy at the club.

Kane should extend his contract with them as long as the club remains competitive.

They have hired Jose Mourinho to help them end their trophy drought, and if they manage to do that this season, Kane will have more reasons to remain in N17.
