Tottenham Hotspur have been quite active in the transfer market so far this summer and Antonio Conte is not finished with his business yet.
According to journalist Dean Jones, Spurs remain keen on signing the Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore.
The 26-year-old Spanish international was on loan at Barcelona during the second half of last season and he had a mixed spell with the Catalan giants.
Traore is reportedly surplus to requirements at Wolves next season and he has been linked with a move away this summer.
Jones has revealed to GiveMeSport that the Spurs officials are determined to bring the Spaniard to the club this summer and he could even be a priority target for them.
He said: “I think Adama Traore still would have to be considered for that slot. We know how much they liked him. There are people involved in the set-up that really want Adama Traore and even would make him a priority because they think it’d be such a good fit.”
Traore has shown flashes of his brilliance in the Premier League over the years but his lack of end product and consistency has been a major concern. It will be interesting to see if Conte can help him improve if the Londoners end up signing him.
The 26-year-old can operate as a winger as well as a wing-back. His versatility will be an added bonus for the Premier League side.
He’s just a fat Spaniard!
I think a top midfield playmaker would be preferable to another wide player
