Spurs involved in a five-horse race for another Championship star

Tottenham has been named as one of five Premier League teams that are interested in Bournemouth star, David Brooks.

Brooks is one of the best players on the Cherries books and he missed much of last season as they ended up being relegated from the Premier League.

Ahead of the closing of the local transfer window this weekend, he is expected to leave the south coast outfit and make a return to the Premier League.

Mail Online claims that Manchester United, Liverpool, Leicester City, and Everton are all competing with Spurs for his signature.

Manchester United missed out on signing Jadon Sancho in this transfer window and they have turned to Brooks.

Liverpool is still looking for reliable backups to their front-three and they consider the Welshman to be a player that can add value to their team.

Leicester City and Everton are two teams that are emerging as top sides in England and they want to sign the best talents too.

Spurs have strengthened the attacking side of their team in this transfer window and they might not push so much to land Brooks before the Friday deadline.

However, if the player remains available next summer and has a good season, he still might become a Tottenham player.
