Spurs in a three-horse race for 22-year-old Primeira Liga star

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham wants to sign Vitoria’s Ghanaian defender, Abdul Mumin, but they are not alone.

The Lilywhites have been looking to bolster their defence since the start of last season when they added Joe Rodon to their squad.

He wasn’t the defender that Jose Mourinho wanted initially and hasn’t had the best of impacts.

They will look to bring in new defenders to their team when the transfer window reopens and Mumin could be one of them.

They are not the only team that has been watching him in the Portuguese league and Sun Sports reports that Aston Villa and Newcastle also want him.

Villa has been spending lots of money in the last few transfer windows and they could pose a serious threat to Tottenham.

Dean Smith’s side started this season well, but they have fallen to mid-table, they will want to do better next season.

Spurs will name a new manager before the next campaign and that could play an important role in the decision to sign him.

The report says they currently value the 22-year-old at £15million.

Daniel Levy has shown that he is a skilful negotiator who will get his transfer targets for the best possible price for his club.

Rodon has been flawless in comparison to that of Dier and Sanchez.

“Daniel Levy has shown that he is a skilful negotiator who will get his transfer targets for the best possible price for his club.”…… or completely fail in getting the right players in for the football success of the club and opting to bring in cheaper alternatives of the same surname
