Spurs favourites to snatch 4th spot from Arsenal

By The Boy -

TOTTENHAM HAVE LEAPFROGGED ARSENAL and are now favourites to finish in the top four, according to Ladbrokes.
Despite the advantage still very much being with Mikel Arteta’s men, the bookies make Spurs 4/6 favourites to pip their rivals to the final Champions League spot.

Arsenal, who are 8/11 to beat Newcastle tonight, are currently 11/10 to finish the week in fourth place.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes told TheBoyHotspur: “It’s out of Spurs’ hands as things stand, but the odds seem to suggest Arsenal will slip up in their next two games and fourth spot will be Antonio Conte’s.”

Actually, we won our first three matches and were TOP! But, yes, things did start to implode soon afterwards.

is not good mentality to approach that game by saying we need only a draw that will backfire you need to go there and do the job, go for it from 1st minute score a goal ease the nerves and then finish and kill the game that is what we need to do.cheers

I think it’s far to say if it happens then the OED will have to add Spursy to the dictionary with the description “Norwich vs Tottenham Hotspur 22.05.2022” and just leave it at that.

Apologies took them from 15th to 12th in the table.

That win from Newcastle takes them from 12th spot to 8th spot in the table. That’s a great achievement for Eddie Howes considering they were relegation fodder halfway thru the season.

It would actually be spursy – I think the term is overused and often applied lazily…but that would qualify as spursy

4-0 would not have flattered Newcastle tonight

Arsenal are actually a lucky side this season, really shouldn’t be within 3 points if us

Perhaps, but Ten Haag will work towards building a more balanced squad. They’ve got money and can afford silly wages. I think they’ll be much stronger, but hopefully I’m wrong

You gotta love the Magpies. They really turned up for this game and now please please please THFC, do not, do not f**K this up against Norwich. We have to play them as if they were the Arse last Thursday. Maximum intensity and press from the start. Hit the onion sack quickly and keep pressing. If Levy and ENIC do not back Conte in the summer then there will be riots at the new latrine.

They could yet be in the conference, won’t be too many top players rushing to Manchester if that happens.

It would be peak spurs to balls it up at Norwich, though.

13 losses and +9 goal difference. Arse ain’t a good team, let alone deserving of CL. Arteta is clearly overrated. Next season I’d be more worried about Manure..

But when was the last time Everton were at risk of relegation, going to Arsenal?

St.Arsey day is alive & well.

…having the runs is a dangerous business.

Oh glorious apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered thy beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused thee to be forgotten by many, but the Church honors and invokes thee universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who am so miserable; make use, I implore thee, of that particular privilege accorded thee of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, particularly (mention your request), and that I may bless God with thee and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise thee, O blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor thee as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to thee. Amen

I don’t get the maths here. If the Arse are 8/11 to beat the Saudis, that’s better than 4/6 assuming we both win on Sunday. Which should be equal odds since Everton haven’t won at Arsenal in forever and we’re more likely to bottle it at Norwich.
