Spurs expected to announce major appointment after agreement reached

Football Insider reports that Tottenham has reached an agreement with Fabio Paratici and the former Juventus executive will become their latest director of football.

He spent the last 11 years at Juventus and helped them become very successful.

They won Serie A for nine consecutive seasons and signed some of Europe’s best players.

The Old Lady decided not to renew his contract and it was announced at the weekend that he was leaving.

Spurs are restructuring their side as they bid to become a top-four club again.

They ended the last campaign seventh and are currently managerless after firing Jose Mourinho.

They have continued to meet setbacks in their bid to name a new manager with the club losing different managerial targets.

The report says Paratici’s appointment will see Spurs return to the director of football system which they previously abandoned.

He would be given control over player negotiations and picking transfer targets.

Paratici enjoyed outstanding success in Italy with Juventus and Tottenham fans can be positive that the next campaign will be better.

He might need time, but if he can replicate his success at Juventus within the next few seasons, Spurs should become a top Premier League club again.
