“I have been to many meetings, Joachim is interested in the first six clubs in England and Italy”.

The words of Jacob Andersen, father and agent of the Sampdorian centre-back, Joachim Andersen.

Interviewed at Extra Bladet, the 22 year old’s father said he thought that boy should stay in Genoa until June:

“I don’t think anything happens in this period and neither does Joachim – he said -. I think he is well where he is now, although of course if a big club wants meet us, we do not refuse “.

TuttoSport say that Tottenham are one of several interested parties.

HH says: 🎼So here I am are once more, in the playground of the broken hearted…🎵

More building. This is clearly a replacement for Toby or Jan or perhaps even both.

Joachim’s probably good stuff, however this is another one step forward, two steps back sketch.

Toby and Jan are far from finished, but they’re comparatively expensive – compared to a younger guy who’ll work for less.

In other news according to the all the leaked draw results, Spurs will be playing all 7 sides remaining in the competition.

We can beat City over two legs if we get back to our best form. Anything short of that and it’s highly unlikely we’ll progress.

We don’t sign players, everyone else does. We are at a distinct disadvantage before a ball has been kicked, because our owners are complete wankers…

Yeah your right Easty we can play amazing and have shown glimpes over the season but over 2 legs im not so confident. We are weaker now ,our wingbacks are not up to it ,Dembele even half fit is gone and Eriksons decline just make us so much weaker.

Whilst I admire your optimism no chance!

No i don’t think we can, especially over two legs. City and Barca were who i feared, city more than Barca actually. And of course we get city and pooh get porto. Can’t remember the last time we ever got an easy draw.

Tough one thats for sure doubt we will do them over two games.Liverpool have got the easy job and beat Porto 5-0 last season. If we learn anything from playing them in the cup could maybe help us get a crucial point in the league.

We have hope, Levy is out to crush that notion whenever he can…

Is it City? That suit them. Nice route for City.

Pretty sure there are two, maybe three, teams they’d have picked ahead of Spurs.

Far worse english sides than spurs have beaten them this season, we have every chance.

For me Liverpool look destined to get to the final of this thing

Not so sure, if the league title slips away then they’ll go for it but Liverpool otherwise need to juggle two things whereas Citeh have the squad to do both. We can do Citeh, Barca or Juve tougher for me.

Porto ajax Spurs. Toss up. They know they can win cos they’ve been to Wembley and done it already this season and last season.

That’s it then City up next and in the unlikely event of us beating them it’s Juve in the semis.Haha

Avoiding Barcelona was the main one…though we’d probably see them in the final in this scenario.

City are beatable if they don’t get the rub of the green – when frustrated they can fold.

I think we’ll need more rub of the green than them. A lot more.

Watch any game City don’t go 2-0 up in the first 30 minutes and I’ll show you the most brittle team going.

ronan

Maybe, but putting in consecutive good performances against another Big 6 team is not something we’re renowned for. This season’s goal difference between us and city is also something that does not inspire confidence.

We’ll have to improve no doubt, probably that means playing our best football of the season…but if being in the last 8 of the CL and playing at the new ground can’t inspire then so be it please someone switch out the lights on this season.

Watch this. Hahaha. So ridiculous. Note the nervous looking flag happy linesman, especially the couple at the end. Scum BT commentators making it out they were bang on decision at times.

The Dane’s have great pedigree for centre half’s. But again this is a player who could come in and learn along side Toby and Jan, not thrown in as direct replacement.

Also, funny for Chelsea struggle with like of Bournemouth, Wolves and Leicester but win 5 zip in Kiev?? Such an orchestrated nonsense. I expect they will win the competition.

5000 Rennes fans travelled to North London last night to support their team in a match they were never ever going to win. Pisstake.

Yep, Sanchez, Foyth and now this boy mean Tobes and Jan are gone.

I don’t think its unfair to go for this lad – looks legit…but as you say, to replace 2 world class players (or even 1 of them) is nuts. This summer we will lose 3 of our best players. Eriksen has checked out already, but before that…!

As for the draw – my money is on us facing Juve, City getting Porto. Us Juve will be one of those ties where a the old lady returns to her best, and City will be another thumping to set those 2 up as the finalists. I just wish the CL was fixed…you could say “look what Leicester winning the PL did…Spurs winning the CL would be the same!”

Glad your back to discuss,i take it you wont be there still:).I suppose most people fancy Porto and yeah i think your right about Juve ,we had our chance last year and screwed it so i doubt this year.I would like the clash with Ajax personally as it will be full on with less tactics. As for signings or lack of them what goes on this summer or what goes through Levys mind who knows ive given up.

Irrespective of the draw, purely academic, when IMO ultimately it’s who can stop Citeh scooping all 4 prizes?

Hi Cab – I tried to apologise but was booted. I was not thinking of you, I was talking about a guy a work with. A few I know outside of work. I didn’t realise anyone on here was travelling. In all honesty, I don’t judge people that go, I was venting after a very frustrating loss. I didn’t mean to offend anyone.

I think Ajax had their day in the sun and wont progress. I think in all honesty, we are the team all other teams want. We look the most beatable by a long way.

Hi mate its all good and forgotten about already .Your thoughts about Ajax are similar to mine and why i fancy our chances against them compared to more experienced sides. Im still not sure how Spurs will come back after our 3 week break? Well rested or half into there summer holidays ..

I think some left already on their holidays.
