Spurs are through to the semi-final of a domestic cup, and one might have thought this would be a moment to feel a little warmth within the fanbase and be appreciative of the club moving out of relegation form, and into a more inspiring direction under Antonio Conte. Yet, the THST (Tottenham Supporters’ Trust) would appear to have discovered a nasty piece of coal in with the presents…
The club stands accused (by the trust) of removing concessionary pricing for Seniors and Young adults in respect of two cup games.
Whatever price points THFC has decided to remove or readjust, the bottom line is that £25 to watch a category A semi-final isn’t bad value at all in 2021/22. For context, this clash as a league game would probably be about £65.
It’s fair to say that reaction to the Trust’s latest attack on the club was peppered with bewilderment.
Another matter – which really ought not to be even debated – is that the cost of special delivery for the tickets is £7.50. Many fans went berserk over this, without understanding that this is what Royal Mail charges. Spurs aren’t actually making anything on top. Given the state of courier companies in the UK at present, this isn’t unreasonable for guaranteed delivery over Christmas.
I take a view that the Trust would do well to pick their fights in the future. They’ve had a bad year and this is another misjudged swipe at (and I’ll say it again) a private commercial business.
where can i get these tickets?
I was actually pleasantly surprised that the price was £25.00 and according to the email I received from the club, the price for under 18s is £10.00.
The THST lost contact with the fan base once the Hob Nobs came out at Levy Towers ..they have been trying to make themselves relevant for more than 2 years now…£25 ..bargain ..hope it’s banged out.
🤣🤣
(& I’m old enough to remember that tune).
THST?? Would think they’re not representing the majority of supporters on this!
£25 for a cup semi-final is an UNDERcharge. Well done THFC.
(Just for info, cheapest concession as a cat. A league match is….£26!)
Storm in a League Cup.
Watch it on telly than you.
