Spurs appear to have hit a brick wall with U21-international negotiations

Tottenham Hotspur has been linked to Everton FC forward Anthony Gordon as the north London club wants to add home-grown status players to their squad and is looking to take advantage of The Toffees’ financial situation.

However, The Athletic reports that Everton has no intention of selling Gordon. Furthermore, they plan to lock down the 21-year-old to a new contract before his current deal expires in 2025; whether that occurs remains to be seen.

Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are both reportedly keen on Gordon. Nonetheless, manager Frank Lampard is considered to be vehemently against the possibility of Gordon exiting.

Gordon, an England under-21 international, scored four goals and recorded three assists in 40 matches for Everton last season and is likely at the center of their attack alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin, with the exit of Richarlison to Spurs.

Tottenham had shown interest in the left-winger and had their eyes on a double bid for Gordon and Richarlison, but Everton did not entertain that idea and now aren’t willing to sell the young winger this summer.
