Spurs ace could be used to seal the signing of £50.7m star Conte is ‘crazy’ about – opinion

Tottenham Hotspur have received a potential boost in their pursuit of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer.

According to Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, Lazio are interested in signing Tottenham left-back Sergio Reguilon in the coming days, and Antonio Conte’s side is willing to sanction the 25-year-old’s exit on a season-long loan with a €20 million option to buy before the transfer window shuts.

Meanwhile, Fabio Paratici is reportedly willing to pay up to £50.7m for Lazio star Milinkovic-Savic who has been linked with Spurs all summer. And apparently, the attacking midfielder is open to the idea of moving to north London due to the club’s qualification for this season’s Champions League.

As a result, it appears that Paratici and Conte may be able to arrange a player-plus-cash deal for the Serbia international, with Reguilion serving as a sweetener in Spurs’ pursuit of the 27-year-old.

Given that Reguilon is clearly not a part of Conte’s first-team plans at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and considering that both Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici are ‘crazy‘ about Savic and are keen on signing him, they must seize the opportunity to use the defender in a swap deal for the Lazio star.

Milinkovic-Savic has 58 goals and 53 assists in 295 appearances for Lazio, including 11 goals and 12 assists in 47 games last season and has been dubbed as the ‘complete midfielder’.
