Sonny can be seen here leaving the pitch at Villa Park, with his right arm clearly not quite hanging right.
The club have confirmed the 27-year-old will now require surgery as a fracture has been discovered.
This is the same arm that Son fractured playing in a World Cup qualifier in South Korea, 2017. On that occasion, he was out for two months. According to The Athletic (£) sources close to Tottenham believe Son will be out this time for at least 8 weeks.
Tottenham’s whole “no designated striker” business just got a lot messier.
Man down.
Isn’t Moura a CL specialist? Simple.
He played on because he could. The problem for us now is he needs an operation for it to mend structurally.
Just shows how good a manager Poch was to get us in the CL final without Kane. Unfortunately Poch spoilt Levy by overachieving and we’re back to square one.
I will leave you to make up your mind on that one. What he is undoubtedly good at is lining his and Uncle Joe’s pockets at the expense of building a championship winning team.
So he is competent in non football matters ?
Whoever gave that a thumbs down is an idiot. As you quite rightly state look at them rent boys. Sign someone we could easily afford, who’s numbers are seriously impressive, who the clown was told by jol and vdv to get, and he’s going elsewhere. Meanwhile Jack Clarke was last seen serving beer in the away section at Loftus Road
Only 1 rat to blame for this. Vermin. Hope he chokes on the nxt wad of 50s him and uncle Joe remove from. N17
Time for Alli to get his effing finger out!! Oh and it’s time for Parrot TO BE READY!!!
Who’s a pretty boy then…..
Love this response from Jose…
José Mourinho on Son’s injury and a rallying cry to us fans
“No strikers, no market. Nothing. The only help we can have is our crowd. The Tottenham supporters, that is the only ask because to the players I cannot ask more than what they are giving.”
“We have to recover from broken hearts… Are we going to give up or are we going to fight?”
“We are going to fight.”
It wasn’t for bad luck we’d have no luck at all. The timing of this could not have been worse. There is nobody that can fill the void left by Son, he’s a unique player. All the Parrot fans will now be out in full voice.
This will hopefully expose Levy!!
They are supposed to diagnose and decide if the player can continue, whatever the issue is, apparently its the same injury he has suffered before, and IF they know his medical history , that would have been a clue. My point is there could be more to what was discussed HT between the player and doctor than we know, but fair play to Son for playing on, and I like what Graham Roberts said too.
It is rumoured that they are in talks to sign Sancho. They clearly don’t offer delayed payments and a packet of pork scratchings when they conduct their transfer business. Nine richest club in the world, it warms the cockles of my heart to think how much money Enic have taken out of the club.
And it looks like they’ve probably got Vecino from Inter.
Levy can’t wait for 23.45hr. August 31st.
The instant reaction is to question the medical staff? Why? Son was fouled and played on. I am sure it seemed like a bang on his arm, nothing more. I remember a friend of mine playing almost the whole of a school game with what turned out to be a broken leg. There is nothing to reprimand the medical staff for.
This highlights Levy’s negligence and incompetence in the transfer market. I am impressed by the way Chelsea go about their transfer business. They announce that they have signed Ziyech from Ajax for next season. Quickly and efficiently done, unlike our transfer business. Levy is incompetent in football matters.
This is an unfortunate and unforeseeable injury and we’re lucky that this Bergwijn fellow has hit the ground running so he can cover in Son’s absence.
The thing that really grates is that Kane’s injury occurred BEFORE a full January transfer window and the club did nothing to mitigate the drop in expected goals per game with the absence of a recognised number 9 (veteran/established or otherwise). One of world football’s richest clubs investing the bare minimum in a team of players who have overperformed for years (and we can only hope will continue to until we get some new owners in).
We don’t deserve top 4, we don’t deserve the FA cup and we certainly don’t deserve the CL trophy no matter how much Dele thinks we do. But then again neither do those cheating Mancs!
And the Hits keep on comin’, Yee Haw !!
Instant reaction is to question the medical staff, good job he’s not a jockey.
The one man we didn’t want injured.
