Son Heung-min shares the mentality of Tottenham amid their top-four race

Over the past two weeks, Tottenham Hotspur has been riding a wave of good vibes. The north London club sits in fourth place and has a three-point lead over Arsenal, who have dropped their last two fixtures, allowing Spurs to move into the top four.

Despite the form Tottenham is in thus far, Son Heung-min stated that although they have reason to be happy, they don’t want to get ahead of themselves and that the squad can be better.

“Look, I don’t want to be really over the moon, you know?” Sonny told Spurs’ official website. “I want to be really cool and calm because there are a lot of games to play, still, and I know that we can do better!”

Spurs have won six wins of their last seven games in the Premier League while scoring 23 goals in those six victories. Furthermore, Son recorded a hat-trick against Aston Villa, and although their attack is clicking, the 29-year-old believes this team can be better than what they have shown.

“I just don’t think we are there yet, because this team deserves so much more,” added Son. “We are working so hard; the commitment is just unbelievable.”

“As a team, as a player, I want this team to do so much better and so well. So, let’s enjoy, but ready to go again, and after this season, I want to see everyone smiling and very proud.”

If Tottenham has another level they can reach, perhaps they can finish in the top four ahead of Arsenal, Manchester United, and West Ham United to clinch UEFA Champions League football for next season.
