Son and Kane equal Premier League record and will smash it very shortly

Tottenham has just earned a 3-0 win over Leeds United in a game that some predicted that they may even lose, well, the negative bunch anyway.

Before that match, Spurs had been winless since beating Arsenal at the start of last month.

But on the 29th minute, Harry Kane opened the scoring from the penalty spot and unlike with Man Utd, it was a genuine penalty.

The England captain assisted Son Heung-min for Tottenham’s second goal on the 43rd minute, and that goal combination sees them equal a Premier League record that has stood for more than 25 years, according to the EPL website.

That was the 13th time that they have combined to score a league goal for Tottenham this season.

It equals the record set by Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton for Blackburn Rovers in the 94/95 Premier League season.

Out of the 13 goals, Kane has provided 9 assists for Son, while the South Korean has provided 4 assists for his teammate. Son also scored his 100th goal for Spurs with his strike.

They are now on course to smash that record senseless, possibly for generations to come.

Weird that they have done it under a manager that is supposedly passed it and only plays negative football.
