Some fickle Tottenham fans already declaring that the“Bale Curse” is back

Gareth Bale made his second debut for Tottenham yesterday and it was expected to be a return to remember from the start.

However, while it is one to remember, it is hardly for the right reasons.

The Welshman was introduced in the game against West Ham yesterday afternoon when the Lilywhites were already 3-0.

They had raced into that lead before the 20th minute and they just needed to see out the game.

Bale was sent on to help Spurs punish the tiring Hammers, but it turned out to be something more negative.

With him on the pitch, Spurs conceded three late goals to end the match 3-3 and some Spurs fans think that the attacker has brought his curse back.

Bale went 24 games without winning as a player for Tottenham during his first stint and some fans worry that it might just be 23 more games to go before Tottenham can win again with him in the team.

The Sun stuck up a few Tweets from fickle Spurs fans with one Tweeting: “Bale’s Spurs curse is back again. Just 23 games to go and they can start winning again.”

Some of the other Tweets read:

“Bale curse all the way from Madrid”

“Looks like the curse of bale is back”

“The Bale curse in full effect”

“The Bale curse continues… 3-3 #TOTWHU”

Football fans really are the most reactionary group of people on the planet, if Spurs had held on those same fans would be saying that Bale will lead to Tottenham to the title.

Imagine what they would have said if he would have actually put his chance away.

The mind boggles sometimes.
