Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol believes that Harry Kane is worth around £200 million to Tottenham Hotspur due to his iconic status and importance to the club.
Solhekol drew comparisons between Kane and other great players like Kylian Mbappe, emphasizing Kane’s value to Spurs.
While discussing an article from The Times on Sky Sports, Solhekol claimed that Kane is “up there with the greats of the game”.
He said:
“Brilliant article in the Times this morning (Tuesday) by Martin Samuel, who I think is close to Daniel Levy or may have been in the past, and he makes the point that Kane is invaluable to Spurs.”
“He’s worth more than £95 million to Spurs. He’s worth more than £100 million, he’s probably worth more than £150 million to Spurs. When people think about Tottenham Hotspur, what’s the first thing you think of? You think of Harry Kane.
“He’s an icon. After Jimmy Greaves, after Glenn Hoddle, he’s their greatest player. Why would they sell him for £85 million paid in installments to Bayern Munich?
Let’s get real, he didn’t grow up dreaming of playing for Bayern Munich. If it was Real Madrid and he was going to play with Kylian Mbappe, you’d think ‘ok let’s not stand in his way, it’s every players dream to go and play for Real Madrid’. That’s an article worth reading because he makes some very good points.”
“But if he stays until next summer, Spurs have got between now and next summer to convince him to sign a new contract.
“My personal opinion is, Harry Kane is up there with the greats of the game, you’re talking Kylian Mbappe level. I’d be looking at £200 million.
“If I owned the club Harry Kane was playing for, that is the kind of figure I’d be looking at.”

The latest news shared by Sky Sports is that Harry Kane has indeed decided to stay at Tottenham this season despite Spurs and Bayern agreeing on a fee earlier today.
This would come as a huge shock since the entire summer Bayern were led to be believed that the player is desperate to join them and that he is waiting for the two clubs to agree on a fee.
And now that the two clubs have finally come to an agreement over the fee, he seems to be keen on staying at Spurs for another year.
