Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Ryan Sessegnon is on the verge of joining London rivals Fulham.
Sky Sports has confirmed that the Cottagers have agreed to bring Sessegnon back to the club on a free transfer.
Sessegnon joined Spurs in the summer of 2019 for £25 million, arriving as a highly sought-after talent.
However, his time at the Lilywhites has been plagued by injuries, limiting his impact over the past four years.
The London-born wing-back made just 57 appearances for Tottenham, contributing 3 goals and 4 assists.
Last season was particularly challenging for Sessegnon, as he managed only one appearance due to persistent injuries, including a recurring hamstring issue that sidelined him for almost 11 months.
Despite these setbacks, Fulham manager Marco Silva views the 24-year-old as a versatile addition who can provide depth in both the left-wing and left-back positions.
Sessegnon’s contract with Tottenham expired this summer, and the club chose not to extend it, releasing him from the squad.
Fulham fans will be eager to see if Sessegnon can recapture the form that made him a standout player during his first spell at the club, hoping his return will bolster their squad for the upcoming season.
