“Simply not going to happen” Henry Winter Slams Football Restarting On June 1st [video]

According to The Telegraph, the Premier League is “tentatively” putting in place a plan to resume the season on June 1st behind closed doors.

The remaining nine games of the 2019-20 season would apparently be scheduled inside six weeks to allow the 2020-21 campaign to start on time.

Rescheduling fixtures at this point is a completely futile exercise but executives at the Premier League need to be seen to at least look busy.

Thankfully, journalist Henry Winter was on hand to give them a dose of reality on Sky Sports’ Sunday Supplement this morning, saying a June 1st restart is “simply not going to happen”.

The uk will be in complete lockdown soon like italy. Expect the season will be declared null, which suits us… Next season maybe too depending on how bad the outbreak is.
