Farewell Eric, we knew thee well. As you venture off to become intimately familiar with the Sevilla physio staff, we shall remember you for the odd Rabona, but more so for your sociopathic tendencies.
A studs-up challenge, followed by swiping a water bottle from the Burnley physio’s bag.
Salut.

We’ll miss him most when it comes to the NLD. One of only a few in recent times who got/gets the hate.
For commitment on the pitch I commend him & wish him well. Many a time his energy from the bench lifted us.
Pity he spent so long on the treatment table and couldn’t find the consistency & final product we needed.
Can’t help but feel Reguilon’s enthusiasm for the incoming Spanish Beatle bodes well for the potential down our left flank!!
Thank you Erik and good luck Bryan!
Sorry to see him go, but I can’t say I’ll really miss him too much. We’ve still got Gio (for now) to keep the slide tackle count up.
where is boris and his octo-cock when you need him? ….
Bye Bye Coco, Thanks for your Rabona’s and that goal against ManC Blue.
Annoyingly though when fit was the fittest in the team .
I do worse than that on 5 aside pitches😂
Agree should have been let go when it was clear he couldn’t stay fit.
Very skilful footballer who always gave his all for Spurs. Didn’t quite live up to his expectations partly due to injuries. Often tried too hard and suffered a red mist! Some brilliant moments which I will never forget.
He was a decent squad player for Spurs… despite not living up to his ‘perceived’ potential of stardom. Gave it ‘his all’ for us, even if that was usually aimless. I wish him well.
Would be a significantly better footballer if he were interested in passing.
The epitome of a headless chicken who despite playing for a variety of coaches stayed exactly the same and achieved nothing except ….a healthy bank balance, probably a nice lad though.
He had bags of potential and skill, as well as fire in his belly, which was lovely to see, but then there was the ludicrous “hip operation” saga which kept him out for over a year and involved a fair bit of weird misinformation by the club. According to Transfermarkt, Lamela spent 837 days out, missing 133 games in his almost 8 years at Spurs.
The overriding feeling is that he just wasn’t fit enough most of the time to contribute, eventually shifting from a very promising talent into a guy we put on in the 70th minute to kick the sh-t out of the opposition and wind them up – and to provide the odd moment of magic.
There were good moments, but not enough for me. Good luck in Spain, Coco.
Here is the young Eric. Pity they never taught him to pass. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ric0xTz5g2A
The absolute epitome of a headless chicken, who performed exactly the same way under a variety of coaches and achieved….a healthy bank balance, sure he’s a nice lad though.
Always seemed to run up blind alleys, kept the ball for too long, amazing talent……just his distribution let him down.
Wish him well on his new adventure.
An amazing talent who simply never got it right, other than his effort of course which you could never question
Always believed he could turn it around ( never did) unfortunately
