Serie A defender wants a move to Tottenham; decision coming soon

Bologna F.C. 1909 defender Takehiro Tomiyasu is atop Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer wishlist this summer. After the Serie A club rejected an initial bid, the Premier League side is ready to make another offer for the 22-year-old.

The initial offer that Tottenham made was around €18-million, but Spurs saw this proposal rejected. Despite their first offer falling by the wayside, there’s still good news on the pursuit of Tomiyasu.

Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that the Japanese international wants the move to Tottenham. Furthermore, he details no other English club negotiating for the defender, but Atalanta BC is expressing interest in Tomiyasu.

Nonetheless, Tottenham does lead the way at the moment on this tracking, considering the player wants to join. Romano adds that a decision should be coming soon.

Tomiyasu joined Bologna in 2019 and has made 63 appearances where he’s played at central defense, right-back, and defensive midfielder. The Japanese defender is a versatile player that hopes Tottenham can secure a deal for him.
