See my plausible XI to face Delia’s Dynamos

This game will be less of a formality than many might like to think. It will be part of the ongoing healing process at Hotspur `Way, and one that sees both Tanguy Ndombele and Dele Alli still waiting to be seen in triage.

It is my considered view that this squad remains incapable of winning anything (and mumbling about how we are edging to the top four is frankly ambitious) until Conte has salvaged what he can from this aging and dysfunctional bunch.

The following process will test Levy again, as it requires buying and selling with some degree of earnestness. After which we can discuss how bright the future might be.

Prediction? Spurs to win by a single goal.

Spot on H! We are not remotely top 4 quality at this point and the fact that we are in contention for that fourth Champion’s League spot is merely testimony to how bad and/or inconsistent the teams in contention are. Namely West Ham, the Arse, Utd and ourselves. As we have lost to the other three already this season, realistically we are about 7th in the league right now in terms of quality and depth.

Granted there are some promising signs under Conte, specifically a dramatic increase in fitness, which was quite manifest against the old Nylons! It was the first game this season we comfortably outran and looked fitter than the opposition. However Conte’s famed fitness demands and discipline will not improve the quality of the squad, which quite simply is not top four calibre.

Consequently it all boils down to how much our pair of tightwads are willing to invest in the team. I trust that Paratici and Conte know what a good player looks like and which ones we should be targetting. It is not a question of strengthening the squad, the first XI is light about 4 players. 2 x CB’s, a creative CM and another striker. Maybe Bahama Joe could find another Hockney lying around the ‘Aviva’ and lob us the proceeds?!

“I cant see Levy going over £100m in Jan”

Are you talking about his bonus?

Before we get excited about the transfer window and that report that said we have the most legal spending power in the PL (from memory it was £400m over the next 3 seasons).

I watched last 2 norwich games. They are quite clueless when it comes to creating goal chances, i think we wont concede a goal today unless dier scores an oggie
