Secret Footballer Spurs Claim Has To Be Way Off Beam | opinion

The Secret Footballer used to provide some interesting context many moons ago, as the individual behind the account and the books was clearly an articulate and intelligent individual. Always worth reading. This is not to say this Tweet ought to be entirely discarded. THFC has approached numerous blue-chip organizations.

However, the Coronavirus has indisputably changed the world, and as businesses are fighting to remain in existence, the idea of lavish sums being splurged on what is nigh on subliminal advertising would now look ambitious.

Once people begin to leave their homes and move freely and are able to travel again (in specific reference to an airline in this instance) one could understand that companies would want to try and encourage customers to come back. So placing an advert on TV or a billboard makes sense. Spending £250million on branding a building in North London does not. The Financial Times recently spelled out the financial crisis that has befallen all airways during COVID-19.

I’ll take analysis by the FT over a retired footballer, whoever he might be.

Travel industry has been decimated, cannot see how anyone at BA could convince a board that spending £250m on a building makes any kind of sense.
