Scottish club expressing interest in Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper

The goalkeeper position at Tottenham Hotspur is getting crowded with the recent addition of Pierluigi Gollini, which leaves no room for Joe Hart. The English club will now look to find the 34-year-old a new club, and there appears to be one expressing interest.

According to Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham is in negotiations with Celtic FC over Hart. Talks remain ongoing, but Romano doesn’t add any further details regarding what fee the Scottish club is offering to pay for Hart.

Hart arrived last summer and has another year left on his contract, but it seems as though the London-based club is ready to part ways with the veteran goalkeeper.

Last season, Hart made ten appearances for Tottenham serving as Hugo Lloris’ backup, where he conceded eight goals and had five clean sheets.

The England international brought a lot of experience to the goalkeeping position, but Hart is expendable now. Acquiring any fee seems like a solid business decision from Tottenham’s angle.
