Tottenham have suffered a setback in their pursuit of a new striker with latest reports suggesting Joshua Zirkzee has agreed to join Manchester United.
Joshua Zirkzee, the Bologna striker who had an impressive season in Serie A, was among the strikers linked with a move to Tottenham.
Unfortunately, Manchester United have now agreed on a deal for Zirkzee, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, who confirmed the transfer with his signature ‘Here We Go.’
Instead of triggering his release clause, United will pay slightly above €40 million with favourable payment terms spread over three years. Zirkzee is set to sign a contract until June 2029, with an option for an additional season.

Tottenham had seriously considered signing the Dutch forward, who scored 12 goals and provided seven assists for Bologna last season across all competitions.
His performances caught the attention of several top European clubs due to his impressive form under coach Thiago Motta.
The 23-year-old striker joined Bologna in August 2022 and quickly made a significant impact. His excellent form continued into the next season, making him Bologna’s top scorer and helping the club secure a place in the Champions League.
With Manchester United now set to secure Zirkzee’s services, Tottenham will have to redirect their efforts toward other potential signings to strengthen their attacking ranks.
