Romano says Spurs ‘have discussed’ a move for 24-yr-old, ‘not an easy deal’

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Leeds United winger Daniel James in recent weeks.

According to the reliable Fabrizio Romano, Spurs have discussed a move with Leeds regarding James but it is not an easy deal to complete.

Apparently, the Londoners are looking to loan the winger with an option to buy this summer.

The 24-year-old joined Leeds United last summer and he managed to score four goals and pick up five assists across all competitions for the Whites. Spurs could definitely use more depth in the attacking department and James could be a useful addition.

The Leeds ace knows the Premier League well and he should be able to settle in quickly and make an immediate impact at Spurs.

Furthermore, his versatility could be an added bonus for Antonio Conte and Tottenham. The Leeds winger can operate on both flanks and he will add pace and flair to the Tottenham attack.

However, the 24-year-old might need to sacrifice regular football in order to join Spurs. The Londoners already have the likes of Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski ahead of him in the pecking order and James is unlikely to start every week.
