The latest reports from Fabrizio Romano and The Athletic suggest that Harry Kane is keen on having a decision about his potential move to Bayern Munich finalized by the end of this week.
The main reason for this timeline is that Kane wants to avoid the situation of moving to another club after the new Premier League season has begun.
In his daily column for CaughtOffside, Romano wrote:
‘It all depends on Daniel Levy. Kane and his camp told Bayern and Spurs that the player’s preference is to make a decision by the end of the week as he doesn’t want to move after the beginning of the Premier League, so let’s wait and see. No clarity yet, no indications on what happens in case he doesn’t join Bayern.’
The same was also reported by The Athletic, which stated that the player is ‘reluctant to move’ once the Premier League campaign begins on Sunday.
This preference aligns with Kane’s commitment to Tottenham and his desire to not disrupt his club’s campaign once the season is underway.
This will come as a huge boost for Tottenham as the new season approaches.
Kane’s importance to Tottenham was evident in their previous match against Shakhtar Donetsk, where he scored four out of five goals in a 5-1 victory.
The ongoing transfer saga continues to be the talking point around Spurs, with uncertainty surrounding whether Kane will make a move to Bayern Munich or remain at Tottenham.
The 30-year-old striker scored 32 goals across all competitions last season and he will look to fire Tottenham back into the Champions League if he stays. He is yet to win to single trophy at club level and he will look to win a domestic trophy with Spurs.
