Tottenham Hotspur remains keen on signing Edmond Tapsoba from Bayer Leverkusen.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the 24-year-old defender remains a ‘top target’ for the London club and it remains to be seen whether they can agree on a fee for him.
Romano adds that ‘talks are still ongoing’ between the two clubs regarding a potential move.

The Burkina Faso defender has been a key player for Leverkusen and the German club are likely to demand a premium for him.
It is no secret that Tottenham need to improve their defensive options and Tapsoba could prove to be a quality acquisition.
Tottenham have been linked with players like Tosin Adarabioyo and Micky van de Ven as well. It will be interesting to see who they end up signing eventually.
Tottenham have appointed Ange Postecoglou as their new manager and the Australian must prioritise a defensive signing this summer. He will need to bring in a reliable partner for Cristian Romero.
The likes of Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez were quite underwhelming last season and Tapsoba could prove to be an upgrade on the two players.
The Bundesliga star has proven himself in Germany and he will be tempted to showcase his qualities in the Premier League now.
A move to Tottenham would be a step up in his career and he will look to make his mark in English football.
Postecoglou has a track record of getting the best out of his players and he could help the 24-year-old fulfil his potential and develop into a reliable Premier League defender over the next few seasons.
