Ridiculous loan fee for Danny Rose shows how toxic he had become at Tottenham | opinion

Danny Rose has become one of the most outspoken Premier League players in recent months and almost none of it has to do with actually playing football, something he has not been very good at for some time.

The Tottenham loanee was shipped out on loan to Newcastle United in the last transfer window after he fell out of favour with Jose Mourinho.

Since 2017 when Rose publicly criticized Tottenham for their transfer dealings and openly claimed that he was looking for one last big contract before hanging up his boots, his career has gone downhill.

He has failed to appear in the limelight for football reasons, for a player that most top teams wanted to sign in his prime, that just shows how much he has fallen from grace.

A report from Newcastle based Chronicle Live claimed that Newcastle United had to pay just £1.8million to get him to join their team on loan for the rest of the season.

That fee, in my humble opinion, shows how much his toxic nature has caused his value to plummet.

Spurs are known to demand top dollar for their players whenever they are moving and Daniel Levy knows how to get a team to pay even more than they should.

For him to have accepted such a small fee for Rose shows that Spurs were desperate to get his toxicity out of their team for good.
