Tottenham have been dealt a blow with news that Richarlison will remain out of action until November due to a persistent leg injury.

The Brazilian forward has been sidelined since late August, missing eight matches.

Club insider Paul O’Keefe reported that the club were hopeful that he will return to full training and be ready for selection after the international break.

Richarlison’s return date pushed to November

However, according to the latest update from Premier Injuries, he is now expected to return to action by November 3rd, with Tottenham’s home match against Aston Villa marking his potential comeback date.

This extended absence has limited his involvement this season, with the 27-year-old making only two substitute appearances in the Premier League before his injury.

Although Richarlison’s return will undoubtedly strengthen Spurs’ attacking options, he may face challenges in regaining his spot in the starting XI.

New signing Dominic Solanke has capitalised on Richarlison’s absence, delivering two goals and an assist in his last three league matches.

Solanke’s strong performances have solidified his position in manager Ange Postecoglou’s starting XI, making it a competitive battle for the starting striker role once Richarlison returns to full fitness.

Richarlison not expected to start ahead of Solanke

Despite Solanke’s recent form softening the impact of Richarlison’s absence, the Brazilian’s eventual return will add crucial depth to Tottenham’s forward line, giving Postecoglou more options as the season progresses.

On a brighter note for Spurs, key players Heung-min Son and Wilson Odobert are expected to return for the West Ham match, providing a much-needed boost to the squad as they look to bounce back from their 3-2 defeat to Brighton before the international break.

While he is not expected to start ahead of Solanke, his return will no doubt add depth to Ange’s attack, especially given Tottenham’s hectic fixtures.
