Reported Tottenham summer target makes it to the Ballon d’Or shortlist

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a number of strikers in recent weeks.

The north London outfit decided to sell Harry Kane to Bayern Munich earlier this summer and they were linked with a move for the French international striker Randal Kolo Muani as a potential replacement.

The 24-year-old has had an impressive campaign with Eintracht Frankfurt and he scored 26 goals across all competitions. The versatile forward picked up 17 assists along the way as well and it is no surprise that he has made it to the 30-player shortlist for the prestigious Ballon d’Or award.

Tottenham will be hoping they had signed him earlier this summer before he completed a move to Paris Saint-Germain on the 1st of September.

The French outfit signed the player for a fee of around €95 million and he has signed a five-year contract with them.

The French international has all the attributes to develop into a complete centre forward and he could have been the ideal replacement for Kane. The England international was more than just a goal scorer for Tottenham and his overall playmaking abilities were invaluable for the side as well.

Tottenham have signed players like James Maddison and Brennan Johnson to add goals and creativity to the side but there is no doubt that Kolo Muani would have been a world-class addition as well.

The 24-year-old is still quite young and he is only going to get better with coaching and experience. He will be hoping to fulfil his tremendous potential with regular football at PSG in the coming seasons.
