Report: Wolves reject a £15-million bid from Tottenham for Adama Traoré

Tottenham Hotspur has yet to add to their squad this January transfer window. Spurs find themselves fighting for a top-four spot, and improving the team could tilt the UEFA Champions League spot in their favor.

As a result, they’ve been linked to Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Adama Traoré; however, their Premier League rival isn’t ready to hand him over at a discount. The Daily Mail reports Wolves have rejected a £15-million Traoré.

Furthermore, Sky Sports Anton Toloui relaid information from The Telegraph that there’s about a £10-million difference in what Spurs are willing to pay and Wolves want. Traoré has 18 months left on his contract, and there’s no further indication as to whether the two clubs will find a middle ground for forward.

Tottenham manager Antonio Conte wants an attacking player, and he’s a fan of the 25-year-old, who has 18 months remaining on his current contract with Wolves.

In 22 appearances this season, Traoré has scored one goal for Wolves. Conte reportedly sees the right-winger as a wing-back in his system despite the lack of offensive production.
