Report – Tottenham’s offer for Serie A player rejected

Tottenham is serious about signing Bologna’s Takehiro Tomiyasu this summer and they have already tabled a bid for him.

However, it has been rejected, according to Todofichajes.

With Fabio Paratici now in charge of football matters at Tottenham, the Lilywhites are expected to make moves around Serie A clubs and Tomiyasu could be their first signing.

The 22-year-old Japanese star is one of the finest players at Bologna and he can play as a centre back or a right-back.

Defence has been an issue for Tottenham for some time now and Santo will be keen to get it sorted.

The Lilywhites expect to add a new defender to their squad this summer and they could also sell Serge Aurier.

Losing the Ivorian would mean just Matt Doherty would be available to play as a right-back for them.

If they add Tomiyasu to their squad, they would have another option and feel more secure in that position.

The report says Spurs have opened talks over his transfer and they tabled a bid in the region of €15M, but Bologna wants €5m more.

The Lilywhites aren’t expected to give up with the report claiming that a new bid is expected from them soon.
