Forward and midfield are the positions that Tottenham Hotspur wants to strengthen this January window, and it appears as though they’re making the first move in the coming days.
According to La Stampa (via Calciomercato), the north London club is ready to put forth an offer to reunite Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici with Juventus right-winger Dejan Kulusevski.
The Italian media outlet states that Spurs plans to make a €35-million proposal for the 21-year-old. Kulusevski could fill the two positions that Tottenham needs to improve since the Sweden international can play the right midfield and winger role.
Kulusevski has scored one goal and registered three assists while making 21 total appearances for The Old Lady this season.
Now some will see his production and question the amount Tottenham might be willing to spend. Still, he’s only averaging 41 minutes per game in Serie A and has four starts in 16 appearances in domestic competition.
Spurs aren’t the only one interested in the Juventus midfielder, as Arsenal is also reportedly in the mix for Kulusevski.
We don’t have competition for places anywhere. Maybe two slightly above-average left backs. At a stretch.
This guy plays for Juventus, Paratici came from Juventus. Is there any other train of thought with this drivel?
We need a RB too, with Doherty going out either as a sale or on loan. Emerson not good enough, more of a squad player as back up.
I am super skeptical about how much business we’re gonna do next month, but this fella does at least seem like a vaguely realistic target. Its got ‘loan to buy’ written all over it.
If we persevere with the current system you could argue that we don’t have decent competition for Moura in that right sided attacking role.
