This summer, Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to upgrade its wing-back position. There will be plenty of targets that are going to see their name linked to the north London club in the coming months. One of them is Bologna left-back Aaron Hickey.

According to 90min, Premier League scouts have gone to Italy to check on Hickey. Some recruitment leaders see the 19-year-old as a ‘unique’ talent due to his ability with both feet.

Furthermore, the report states that Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Tottenham have all monitored the Scotland international’s development.

Bologna signed Hickey in 2020 from Heart of Midlothian, where he’s appeared in 38 fixtures for the Italian club, scoring four goals and recording one assist in his two seasons in northern Italy.

90min adds that the defender is happy with life in Serie A, but the Scotsman sees the transition to the Premier League as the next move in his career.

Nonetheless, there is also interest in maintaining him in Italy, with Juventus and Napoli impressed by his performances. Furthermore, Bayern Munich has also been watching Hickey’s growth in Italian football.

Hickey has two years remaining on his current contract with Bologna.

While you at it, can you find out if he is a defender. You know like try to stop the opposition that silly little bit he may be asked to do.
