Report: Tottenham joins four other clubs in pursuit of Genk’s prolific striker

Tottenham Hotspur wants to add another striker to either replace Harry Kane or work with the 28-year-old. The north London-based club tried their best to land a forward this past summer, but a move for a player didn’t occur.

Despite reportedly striking out on players like Lautaro Martínez and Dušan Vlahović, Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici has a new target that he plans to pursue this January window.

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham plans to join Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Southampton, and West Ham for Genk striker Paul Onuachu.

The report details that the Nigeria international is ready to take the next step in his career, and it appears as though he’s prepared to join a top-five league.

The 27-year-old has made 84 appearances for the Belgian side, scoring 56 goals, so Onuachu is a goal-scoring machine for Genk. When it comes to a possible cost, Transfermarkt puts the strikers’ value at €22-million.
