Report: Tottenham Hotspur eyes to reunite midfielder with manager Antonio Conte

The January transfer window has been open for nearly two weeks, and Tottenham Hotspur has yet to make a move to strengthen their squad or offload any players who have no future there.

One area of need that manager Antonio Conte wants to improve is the midfield. According to 90min, Tottenham’s latest target is Inter Milan midfielder Stefano Sensi.

The report states that the north London club would like a loan deal for the 26-year-old who has yet to find a place since Simone Inzaghi replaced Conte. Perhaps a reunion with Conte at Tottenham could jump-start his season, where he’s averaging 19 minutes per game.

Sensi would be familiar with what Conte demands from his midfielders and understands what needs to be done on their part in the pitch. Furthermore, if they can offload Tanguy Ndombele, they’ll need a midfield to take his place.

The Italian tactician has stated that he wants to build a spine for the squad, which means improving the middle of the pitch, and Sensi could be the beginning of the process.

Doesn’t make any Sensi, swapping one player that doesn’t play a lot with another?

Anyway … once Rudiger & Lukaku sign in this window and I can’t see much money left for this lad..
