Report: Tottenham Hotspur eyeing ‘Maccabi Tel Aviv sensation’

It wouldn’t be a summer transfer window for Tottenham Hotspur didn’t make a move that allows them to roll the dice on a young player. Last summer, the north London club added Bryan Gil and Pape Matar Sarr. This year, they could be looking at Oscar Gloukh.

According to Sport5 (via Spurs Web), Tottenham is now leading the race to sign Maccabi Tel Aviv sensation. The report adds that the Israeli club is willing to sell the 18-year-old for a fee of around £6 million.

The teenager made ten appearances last season, scoring three goals while playing primarily as an attacking midfielder. There’s no question that the player is raw, but perhaps see a talented player and will want to get him at a low price.

Furthermore, the scenario of buying him and loaning him out for a season wouldn’t be out of the question, much as they did with Sarr, who Tottenham acquired in 2021 but allowed to remain at FC Metz following the transfer.

The 19-year-old is now with Spurs in South Korea to begin preparations for the upcoming season. Perhaps that’s the future for Gloukh should the Premier League side pursue the player.
